Portland-based Rose Moore, aka Billy, releases Cutting the Cord via EMS Records. The sound is built on feedback loops and no-input mixing, interspersed with harsh vocals that deliver self-deprecating prose to process themes of self-isolation and depression.

The title reflects a specific ritual: holding a cord, visualizing a separation from what no longer serves you, transferring that energy into the object, and cutting it. The EP is an homage to self-doubt and the courage required to move through it.
